As some of you know, my sister and I rescue and take care of homeless cats. And we’re going through heatwave after heatwave. We’ve already lost 5 kittens because of the extreme heat. And right now, we have 10 kittens, some of whom are blind and weak and we want to protect them.
We’ve been keeping them in the neighborhood caretaker’s abandoned yard, which is an absolute mess (the guy is a scavenger and he collects literally everything, but now he’s no longer using the yard), we’ve already cleaned half of it, and we want to fix the fence and cover it to keep the kittens safe and prevent them from getting out and being exposed to cars but especially we want them to be protected from the heat and the scorching sun.
This is why we are raising money for them.
So, please, consider donating or becoming a member to help us turn this place into a clean, cozy and mostly safe kitten shelter.
If you donate, know that we greatly appreciate you, thank you for making the world a better place for our four-legged friends and babies. And I promise you not a single cent would go to me, my sister or even our indoor cats. 💛
If you can’t donate please help us by reblogging this post.
As the heatwaves continue, our homeless kittens are overheated and they need us more than ever, and we need your help in order to protect them. Also one of them needs surgery now because his eye infection got worse.
Please consider donating if possible, or share this with your friends. We would really appreciate it. Thank you 💛💛💛
Hello lovelies, I hope you’re staying hydrated.💛 Forgive me, this hair was released in July 16th, but I was so busy with the homeless cats that I didn’t have enough time to share it with you. It’s another version of my Lorelei Hair, it was requested by a TSR VIP member. I hope you like it.

Today we’re hit by yet another heatwave, it’s hell. Please, help us protect the kittens.
i know you care about animals and that's why you're taking care of the strays, but stray/wild/street cats are genuinely a danger to your local ecosystem, they're actually considered an invasive species in most places. please keep this in mind, because you should care about the animals that they kill too. i don't mean this to sound bad, i genuinely hope you can help them all find homes but putting yourself and your family in financial jeopardy for it isn't safe for you.
Hello dear, thank you so much for your ask, I really appreciate your concerns and efforts to raise awareness, and don’t worry you don’t sound bad at all. 💛
Please, keep in mind that I am from another country and probably another continent from where you live.
I did some research, I read a few articles, I spent two days trying to find cats guilty of harming our multiple local ecosystems, but I didn’t find anything that suggests that; I also didn’t find any birds or rodents that are endangered in my area. In my neighborhood there aren’t any other animals except for some birds and they are very rarely attacked. I will continue to keep this in mind and search some more in case I missed anything or if a new research contradicts everything that I read. I have to admit however that when our neighborhood was newly built it was infested with rats and mousses, until our neighbors adopted a cat, which is something that everyone is happy with, to be honest. So my conclusion is that cats aren’t really dangerous, if anything it’s them that are in danger.
Indeed, cats here live mainly on the streets, most of them are stray/feral cats, it is not part of our culture to adopt them, and families with cats are the minority here. Luckily, things are changing, but at a slow pace. This is why it’s almost impossible to find families for most of them, believe me, we tried many many times. And we even tried to find a shelter for them but in vain. There are like 4 or 5 shelters out there and they are all full and not so comfortable at all.
Here are the reasons why I think cats are the ones in danger in our streets:
Most of the cats outside are sick or carry an illness, and veterinary medicine is very limited compared to what I see abroad.
The very cold winter and hell like summer contribute to their misery, bad health and even death.
Being hit by a car is a most common cause of death for them.
Some people are very hostile, hate or have cat phobia which pushes them to be violent towards them.
Stray dogs are another threat to their lives, they attack and kill them regularly, it happened to one of ours.
Last but not least, there is a government organization whose sole purpose is to capture and kill cats and dogs. They don’t even care if they are strays or adopted. You can google “Galoufa in Algiers” if you want to know more about this.
This is why my ultimate goal is to open an indoor cat shelter and keep them out of harm’s way. That would be a win-win situation for our local ecosystem and for my beloved cats. But in order to achieve that I need time, money and energy and I’m not there yet.
As for the finances, my sister and I are trying our best, she used to do this on her own, but now I’m helping her as much as I can.
Once again, thank you so much for your ask, it really sparked a conversation between me and my family which so far has been positive and helpful.
I hope you are doing great. This week we experienced a horrible heatwave, so I hope
the weather is nice
wherever you are.
So I just wanted to let you know that I haven’t shared a lot of CC lately and I have yet to update my Spotless Skin (I’m so so sorry for anyone who is waiting), because I’ve been super super super busy with our outdoors/street/stray cats. Before, I used to help my sister only when she was away, now I am 100% in, every single day.
I am not gonna lie, I am enjoying taking care of these cuties more than I expected, I spend most of my day outside taking care of them, giving them their meds, cleaning and changing their water and cleaning their plates etc, but also playing with them. My sister feeds them and I do the cleaning and the nursing.
And right now we have a female cat and her babies, which are taking most of my time. We are taking care of them temporarily (which is very sad because they are my babies now and I LOVE them), all of the babies had some kind of eye infection and when we first took them to the vet we thought they were all going to lose their eyesight (they are getting better now, thank God!), so you can imagine how bad it was, and so I have a lot on my plate.
But I am trying to work on CC as much as possible, and I have 2 hairs (1 for female sims and one for kids) coming soon.
PS. Here is a picture of my sister with some of our babies 💛
Hello beautiful souls, I hope life is treating you well. I edited the base game hijab because I wanted to make it look more realistic. I actually started working on it back in 2021 and then stopped but this month I decided to finish it, so here it is, finally. I hope you like it. PS. I intend to make more modest clothes and hijabs in the future, so stay tuned.
